Diploma in Communication Skills (Public Speaking)

Trinity’s diplomas (ATCL, LTCL) in public speaking offer candidates the opportunity to demonstrate their expertise in oral communication in a wide variety of contexts. At both ATCL and LTCL levels, candidates are required to give a number of contrasting oral presentations appropriate to a variety of settings and audiences. LTCL candidates are additionally required to sit a written paper and submit an essay to further demonstrate their understanding of the theoretical concepts that underpin effective communication.

Professional Certificate in Communication Skills

The Level 3 Professional Certificate in Communication Skills is designed for adults already engaged in a profession who wish to consolidate and receive recognition for their proficiency in making presentations and related communication skills.

The assessment comprises five components – presentation, speaking in public, problem solving and conflict resolution skills, summary and feedback skills, and discussion.

Grade Exams

Trinity grade exams in communication skills are suitable for beginners to advanced students and are available for individuals as well as for small groups of three or four candidates.

Exams for individuals assess a candidate’s ability to engage with analytical and critical concepts, to persuade, to negotiate, to summarise and to communicate information, ideas and options in a variety of contexts. Group exams also offer candidates opportunities to develop skills in group discussion, interaction and teamwork.
