About GESE
About GESE
GESE is suitable for all students, whatever their level, from absolute beginner to full mastery. Learners range from school or college students to mature learners wanting to improve their English skills for educational and professional purposes. GESE is available for learners aged four to adult.
The examiner guides a conversation to allow the student to demonstrate their competence in English using the language appropriate to the grade of the exam. At each stage candidates carry out a number of realistic speaking and listening tasks that demonstrate their fluency, accuracy and ability to communicate in spoken English. The GESE information booklet clearly sets out what students need to do at each level.
- GESE builds confidence in English language communication. The exams assess what candidates can do in English, rather than just what they can remember.
- 12 grades provide a clear progression pathway, motivating learners to progress to the next level.
- The internationally recognised certificates demonstrate your ability to communicate in English when applying to top Primary Schools and English Medium of Instruction (EMI) Secondary Schools.
