By encouraging and developing candidates’ skills in acting, singing, dance and movement, qualifications in musical theatre offer candidates opportunities to give multi-skill, integrated performances in classic and contemporary musical theatre repertoire.

Qualifications in performance arts additionally offer candidates the opportunity to explore and develop interests in complementary performance skills such as writing, devising and choreographing their own work; costume, set and lighting design; video making; sound recording and technical theatre skills.

As candidates build knowledge and practical skills, they are assessed through a progressive learning structure which accommodates individual interests and aspirations.
